Added in version 3.0 are ten new timepieces making for a total of 60 different clocks and watches within the app.  Added are three new pocket watches, six new desk clocks, and one new wall clock.

Thanks to feedback from user Rugerws we've implemented more realistic and accurate second hand movement for all the clocks and watches.  The new desk clocks which were originally electrically powered have a completely smooth motion.  The mechanical pocket watches and clocks now have an ever-so-slightly perceptible ticking motion as would be seen in their real-world counterparts.

A New Icon

Two of the new desk clocks, Basic Bakelite and JAZ Deco, include an alarm function.  When either of these clocks is selected an additional alarm bell icon is displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen indicating the alarm on or off status.  In the case of JAZ Deco tap the visible alarm button on the top of the clock to turn the alarm on or off.  On the Basic Bakelite a tap in the center of the clock achieves the same goal.  To set the time at which the alarm is to go off tap the alarm bell icon.  The alarm hand present on these clocks will rotate to reflect the alarm time that is selected.

Note:  The alarm function provided by these clocks requires that the Timepieces app remain running on your device.  If the app is exited it cannot play back the alarm sound at the desired time.  Unfortunately this limitation is imposed by Apple as third party apps cannot be run in the background nor can they schedule or otherwise manipulate the iPhone's internal alarm functions.
