How to Redeem iPhone App Promo Codes


What You'll Need
First thing is you'll need an iPhone or an iPod Touch.  Presumably you've already got that covered!

Second, you'll need to have previously signed up for an iTunes store account.  If you've ever purchased an app or even just music or movies from iTunes then don't worry, you're covered.  Of course, you will need to know the password for your account.  If you don't have it memorized then you'll want to go look it up now before going much further.

App Store icon on iPhone and iPod TouchThe easiest and quickest way to redeem a promo code is right from within the App Store app on your iPhone or iPod Touch itself.  However, be aware that on the iPhone you'll need to be in a place where you have access to an active WiFi connection.  Apple and AT&T do not allow apps over 10 MB in size to be downloaded over the 3G or EDGE networks.  Some of the Longrie dot Com LLC apps exceed this size and therefore require a WiFi connection to download after a promo code has been redeemed.

Redeeming a Promo Code on Your iPhone or iPod Touch

1Launch the App Store app.Icon for the App Store app.
2If not already selected, tap on the Featured icon in the bottom-left corner.

3Scroll the list of apps in the Featured section down to the bottom. 

The very last entry will be named Redeem.  Tap on this row in the list.

4A screen will appear within which the promo code to be redeemed is entered. 

Tap on the word Code at which point the keyboard will pop-up.
Tap to begin entering a promo code.
5Enter the letters and numbers of the promo code. 

When done tap the Redeem button in the top-right corner or the Done button at the top of the keyboard or the Go bottom in the bottom-right corner of the keyboard.

6A pop-up message will be displayed asking to sign into your iTunes account. 

Tap the Continue button.

7A second pop-up will then prompt you to enter the password to your iTunes account. 

Once entered tap the OK button.

8 All done.  At this point the app will begin downloading and will automatically be added to your home screen.

Done can be tapped to return to the main screen of the App Store app. 

The Enter Another Code button can be tapped to perform the process again to redeem another promo code. 

Or, just tap the Home button on your device to exit the App Store app and try out your new, free, Longrie dot Com LLC app.
